Howto backup your Joomla website

How can you backup in an easy way the entire Joomla site, both the files and the database?

An easy-to-use plugin that does provide these features is  JoomlaPack, http://www.joomlapack.net/, that backups your site and creates a useful installer to easily recover your system.

If you want an automated backup, you can use JomBackup. You can find it at the address http://www.jomres.net/index.php?option=com_docman&task=cat_view&gid=20&Itemid=79.

Another option could be JoomlaCloner. http://joomlaplug.com/

Happy backup!

What about using JoomlaXplorer to zip the complete Joomla installation? All these methods listed above work great if you have a relatively small Joomla web site. But if you are running a complex Joomla web site you really need to set up a server script to automatically backup up a complete domain.
